Norwalk Detectives investigated four motor vehicle burglaries that occurred in the parking garage at 770 Connecticut Ave., during June, said Norwalk Police Lt.Terry Blake.
Based on their investigation, detectives determined Jamie Edwards-Hinton, 22, of Stamford, was the person responsible for the burglaries and arrest warrants were recently issued, Blake said.
On Tuesday, two additional car burglaries were reported in the same parking garage and it was quickly determined that Edwards-Hinton and another female were the suspects, Blake said.
The information was sent out to patrol officers and Edwards-Hinton was spotted by an officer in a vehicle on Soundview Avenue, he added.
The officer stopped the vehicle on Bouton Street at Lowe Street and with the assistance of other officers took Edwards-Hinton and Quanitaporcha Kave, 27, address unknown, into custody.
Edwards-Hinton was charged with the four June burglaries in addition to the two on Tuesday. Kave was charged with the Tuesday burglaries.
Both were charged with burglary, larceny, possession of burglary tools, credit card theft, criminal mischief and identity theft.
Edwards-Hinton is being held on $40,000 bond. Kave is being held on $50,000 bond.
